Delete account
You can request deletion directly from the app or through this page when you cannot access your account.
Go to Settings → Data and access → Delete account. After confirmation, the public profile is hidden, push notifications are disabled and the request begins processing.
If you cannot access the app, preferably write from the email address linked to the account. NMA may request proportionate information to confirm that the request comes from the account holder, without asking for unnecessary documents.
Email an account deletion requestWhile the request is being processed, the public profile remains hidden, push notifications remain disabled and access to features may be blocked.
This temporary phase allows the request to be handled and the deletion of related data to be completed safely.
The request is completed within the technical time needed to verify the account, stop connected services, remove data from active systems and start the relevant cleanup processes.
Backups, logs and provider systems may follow separate technical cycles and may not be updated at the same time as active systems.
If deletion has not yet been completed, the app may allow you to cancel the request through the screen shown when you try to sign in.
After final completion, the account cannot be restored through this process.
When deletion is completed, the sign-in account, public profile, photographs, preferences, push tokens and other data that no longer need to be retained are deleted or made permanently inaccessible.
Content already delivered to other people, such as messages in conversations, may remain visible where needed to preserve conversation integrity and the context already received by other users.
Some data may be converted into an anonymous form or a form no longer directly linked to the account, for example to preserve aggregate metrics, technical integrity or non-personal statistical information.
Properly anonymised data can no longer identify the user and cannot be used to recreate the account.
Some strictly necessary information may be retained for longer for safety, fraud and abuse prevention, handling reports or appeals, defence of rights, disputes, purchases or applicable obligations.
These exceptions may include evidence linked to reports, essential moderation records, minimum anti-abuse data, technical logs and records needed to verify purchases or refunds.
This information is separated from ordinary service use and retained only for the purposes that justify its continued storage.
Deleting the account does not guarantee automatic removal of every message or item of content already received by other people.
Public or temporary content is removed, disabled or allowed to expire according to the feature used, unless it must be retained as evidence or for another legitimate purpose.
To protect the account, NMA may verify whether the sender’s address matches the address linked to the account or request the username, linked email or other limited information already present in the service.
Do not send identity documents, photographs of documents or other sensitive data unless they are expressly requested and genuinely necessary.
Deleting the NMA account does not automatically cancel purchases, subscriptions or other arrangements managed directly by the app store.
Where applicable, also check your Google Play account or the settings of the store used to review purchases, renewals, cancellations or refunds.
To request or verify account deletion, contact nomorealonechat@gmail.com. Include the email address or username linked to the account and do not provide unnecessary personal information.
For more information about processing, retention and personal data rights, read the Privacy Policy.
